Hi, I’m Mel! My love for hair started back in middle school when I was the go-to friend for braids and updos (and let’s be honest, probably some questionable early-2000s styles). I even saved up my chore money to buy my very first curling iron—and I haven’t put it down since.

If it involves hair, I know it, love it, and probably can’t stop talking about it. Try me—I dare you. 

Outside the salon, I’m a mom to two amazing daughters who keep me just as busy as my bridal parties. I also love cooking, and my other obsession is perfecting sourdough (because apparently I thrive on challenges that take three days and a lot of patience).

Great hair, good food, and a little bit of humor! That’s my recipe.

Cameron is a Southern expat who moved to Vermont in 2019 with her partner, dogs, and plants. She got her Esthetician’s License in 2023 and has been working as a professional makeup artist since. Her specialty is helping those unaccustomed to wearing makeup feel comfortable and beautiful, without feeling overdone. Soft glam and natural looks are her go-to, but she loves an opportunity to get creative! She offers in-person makeup tutorials and skincare/facials at her studio in Montpelier when she isn't working weddings or events.
